Yeovil Town sign Matteo Lanzoni on free transfer

Yevoil Town complete the signing of former Oldham Athletic defender Matteo Lanzoni.

Former Oldham Athletic defender Matteo Lanzoni has signed an 18-month deal at Yeovil Town.

Lanzoni left Oldham on the final day of 2013 after rejecting a new contract at Boundary Park, and Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has been impressed with the former Sampdoria player's immediate impact at the club.

The 58-year-old told the club's official website: "I've seen him a few times when I've watched Oldham this season and I was impressed.

"He can play anywhere across the back four and he's introduced himself to the lads in training by knocking a few about. He's competitive."

Lanzoni played 15 times during his four-month spell at the League One club.
