Rafael Nadal confirms that his knee feels strong enough to allow him to compete at Indian Wells this week.

Rafael Nadal has said that his knee feels fine following his victory in the final of the Mexican Open.

The Spaniard beat David Ferrer 6-0 6-2 to claim his second title since returning from a seven-month absence while recovering from a partially torn knee tendon.

Speaking on court after the win, the world number five said: "For me, I played almost perfectly. My knee responded well all week.

"My heart tells me I should continue competing, that I need to move on to the next tournament."

Nadal will compete at Indian Wells this week.
