The agent of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has hinted that the 26-year-old will join Fiorentina on a permanent deal this summer.
The former Sampdoria man was an integral part of the Gunners' setup under Unai Emery but fell out of favour following the arrival of Mikel Arteta.
Torreira endured a forgettable loan spell at Atletico Madrid before his fortunes improved at Fiorentina, where he has registered two goals and one assist in 20 Serie A appearances.
The Uruguay international has been expected to head for the Emirates exit door on a permanent basis in the coming months, and his agent Pablo Bentancur has hinted that that will be the case.
"Fiorentina logically want to buy him because he is playing very well. He has returned to having an impressive continuity and dynamism. Lucas is happy in Florence and I think they will take him, to date he is one of the most loved players by the fans," Bentancur told Sport890.
Torreira arrived at Arsenal for £25.8m in the summer of 2018 and has gone on to make 89 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and setting up six more.
