Inter Milan are reportedly determined to strike a deal for Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso this summer.
The Spaniard was handed more opportunities in the Blues lineup following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel but remains behind Ben Chilwell in the Stamford Bridge pecking order.
With Alonso's deal in West London due to expire in the summer of 2023, the former Bolton Wanderers man is thought to be one of 10 Chelsea players on the chopping block.
The 30-year-old has been linked with the likes of Barcelona, Napoli and Roma, but according to Calciomercato, Inter have identified Alonso as an ideal signing given the uncertainty surrounding Ivan Perisic's future.
The report adds that Inter are fearful of losing Perisic on a free transfer when his deal expires in 2022, but Chelsea are holding out for a fee of €20m (£17.1m) for Alonso.
The defender only featured on 17 occasions across all competitions for Chelsea last season, and he boasts a total of 24 goals and 17 assists from 166 appearances in blue.
