Man City injury news and return dates before Inter Milan clash: Ake, Savinho latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

Manchester City will begin their bid to win a second Champions League trophy when they welcome Serie A champions Inter Milan to the Etihad Stadium for Wednesday's contest.

The 2022-23 European champions will carry significant momentum into the midweek clash after making a fast start to their quest to clinch a fifth consecutive Premier League title.

Pep Guardiola's side have claimed victories over Chelsea, Ipswich Town, West Ham United and Brentford to move to the top of the Premier League table, and they will now look to carry that impressive form onto the European stage.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting with Inter, who played out a frustrating 1-1 draw with Monza at the weekend.

Nathan Ake

Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Bournemouth)

Ake was forced off with a hamstring injury in the Netherlands' UEFA Nations League clash against Germany. The Dutchman underwent medical tests in Manchester, and they indicated that he will be out of action until after the October international break.

Oscar Bobb

Type of injury: Leg fracture
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Bobb remains sidelined with a leg fracture that he suffered on the eve of the Premier League season. The Norway international is making good progress in his recovery, but he is still some way off from returning to competitive action.

Savinho
