Marcus Rashford starts for Manchester United in Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

Marcus Rashford has been named in Manchester United's starting XI in Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

There were fears over the forward's fitness when he was forced to withdraw from the England squad due to the knock that he picked up against Fulham in the FA Cup last time out.

However, Rashford was able to train with the Red Devils on Friday, and the team's leading goalscorer this season will feature in the final third of the field.

Man United head coach Erik ten Hag has made three changes to the side that started against Fulham, with Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane and Antony coming into the XI.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka drops out from right-back, with the Englishman not in the squad.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho have been named among the substitutes for the visitors.

There is big news on the Man United bench, with Anthony Martial fit enough to be included after training over the last couple of weeks.

Martial, who has struggled with fitness problems throughout this season, has recently been sidelined with a hip complaint, but he is in the away side's squad at St James' Park.

As for Newcastle, Magpies boss Eddie Howe has named an unchanged side from the one that recorded a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Alexander Isak scored twice at the City Ground, including a late penalty, and the big-money arrival leads the line once again, with Callum Wilson only on the bench.

Joelinton is back from a suspension, but the Brazil international does not come straight back into the side.

A strong bench also includes Anthony Gordon, in addition to goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, who spent the first half of this season on loan at Man United before being recalled.
