West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian is confident that Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech will recover from his forgettable debut as he is one of the 'greatest ever'.
The 33-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Chelsea for £11m last month, was criticised for his performance in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates.
Cech was at fault for Cheikhou Kouyate's goal as he failed to clear the ball from a set piece, and he allowed Mauro Zarate's effort to bobble past him in the second half.
"That is the life of a goalkeeper," ESPN quotes Adrian as saying. "The goalkeeper can leave with a save or a mistake, sometimes you are the hero and sometimes you are the worse keeper.
"But Petr Cech is one of the greatest keepers ever. You can have a mistake but the last seasons from him at Chelsea he has been outstanding. He is a great goalkeeper and I'm sure he will show his best in the next game."
Cech spent 11 years playing for Chelsea before moving to North London.
