Arsenal boss Unai Emery says that he wants his team to have "fast control" during matches.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has revealed that he wants his team to have "fast control" during matches as the Gunners look for their first Premier League points of the 2018-19 campaign.

Emery's reign as Arsenal boss has started with successive Premier League defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City.

The capital outfit will have the chance to bounce back when they host West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, and Emery has again attempted to explain the type of football that he wants the Gunners to play under his leadership.

"My idea is fast control. Control in the game but the opposition they want the same. With this control you can be near to win and then know when you need to change," Emery told reporters.

"I know we need intensity in every moment in the games. This control is to not let the opposition do their work, their play. For me, we didn't have the control in our first two matches. Saturday is another match, tactically different. It is demanding. I want to do more, to find the way to win this match."

Arsenal's next three Premier League matches are at home to West Ham, away to Cardiff City and away to Newcastle United.
