Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton insists that his team will enter Saturday's clash with Liverpool full of confidence.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has insisted that his team will enter Saturday's clash with Liverpool full of confidence following their victory over Manchester United last weekend.

Brighton made it back-to-back Premier League wins over United when they recorded a 3-2 success at the Amex Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Seagulls now face a trip to a Liverpool team that have won their first two league games of the season without conceding, but Hughton is confident that his side can upset the form book at Anfield.

"We have to approach Saturday in a manner which will allow us to get something - the Manchester United result should give us the confidence to do that," Hughton told reporters.

Brighton suffered a 4-0 defeat when they travelled to Liverpool in the Premier League on the final weekend of last season.
