Danny Welbeck: "Hector Bellerin was brilliant" on Premier League debut

Hector Bellerin was "brilliant" on his Premier League debut, says Danny Welbeck, who scored a late equaliser as Arsenal drew 2-2 with Hull City at the Emirates.

Danny Welbeck has praised youngster Hector Bellerin after the 19-year-old's "brilliant" showing in Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Hull City yesterday.

Welbeck netted a dramatic late equaliser for the Gunners, but the £16m striker reserved special praise for right-back Bellerin, who came into an injury-hit side to make his full Premier League debut at the Emirates Stadium.

"I thought Hector Bellerin was brilliant today," Welbeck told the club's official website. "He's really quick and once he got going it was difficult for Hull to stop him.

"He made a few defensive challenges that got the ball back for us as well."

The draw leaves sixth-place Arsenal with just two wins from their opening eight league games this season.
