Atletico Madrid considering bid for Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani?

Atletico Madrid reportedly identify Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani as a potential replacement for Diego Costa.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone is well stocked for options in the final third, but it has been claimed that Diego Costa could make a switch to the Chinese Super League.

Atletico could potentially consider a sale given Costa's return of one goal in 11 La Liga outings this season, and according to Onda Cero, Cavani is regarded as a possible replacement.

The 31-year-old has spent his career in Italy and France, but an opportunity to take on a new challenge could appeal to the Uruguay international after five years at the Parc des Princes.

Cavani - who has just over 18 months remaining on his contract - has netted 15 times in all competitions this season.
