Barcelona vs. Valencia: Predicted XI for Hansi Flick's side in La Liga contest

Will Flick make changes? How Barcelona could line up against Valencia

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash with Valencia.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is expected to stick with the same outfield players for Sunday's La Liga clash with Valencia, but the German could make a change between the sticks.

Wojciech Szczesny was given the nod in goal for the Champions League clash with Benfica during the week, but the experienced stopper conceded four times during a questionable performance, and Inaki Pena is now set to be brought back into the XI.

Inigo Martinez remains unavailable for selection due to a hamstring problem, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marc Bernal are long-term absentees due to serious knee injuries.

Dani Olmo was unavailable for selection against Benfica last time out due to a calf problem, and the Spain international will need to be assessed before it is determined whether he will be involved in this weekend's contest.

Flick is likely to select the same outfield players from the clash against Benfica, with Gavi, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha providing the support to Robert Lewandowski, who has an excellent record against Valencia.

Indeed, the striker has scored six times in his four La Liga outings against Los Che.

Ronald Araujo has signed a new long-term contract with Barcelona, and the Uruguay international is again set to feature in the middle of the Catalan outfit's defence alongside Pau Cubarsi.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Pena; Kounde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Balde; Casado, Pedri; Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha; Lewandowski
