Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has revealed that talks to bring new players to the club are in progress.
The Championship club are currently operating under a transfer embargo but Clark, who was appointed as Chris Hughton's successor on Tuesday, is hopeful that those restrictions will be lifted soon.
"We're under-staffed and we need numbers and depth, but we also need quality," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"You have got to be right on the ball to find that kind of quality and we're in discussions with players and agents trying to bring players in and that will continue."
Birmingham have sold Jordon Mutch to Cardiff City and Ben Foster to West Bromwich Albion so far this summer.
