Yoni Buyens hints at permanent Charlton Athletic stay

Midfielder Yoni Buyens believes that he could become a permanent Charlton Athletic player this summer.

Midfielder Yoni Buyens has suggested that he could join Charlton Athletic permanently this summer from Standard Liege.

The 27-year-old is on a season-long loan from Charlton's sister club Liege and on Saturday netted his seventh and eighth goals of the season in the Addicks' 3-2 victory over Reading.

After the game, Buyens hinted that he could make his stay in South London a permanent one.

"We will see after this season," Buyens told London 24. "I haven't thought about it at the moment and I haven't spoken to anybody about it.

"I just want to be somewhere I am happy and I play and at the moment I am happy and I am playing here so we will see.

"Nothing is sure in football. If the offer is good then maybe I will stay."

Victory on Saturday made it seven wins in nine games for Charlton, who are 11th in the Championship.
