Galatasaray step up John Terry pursuit?

A report suggests that Galatasaray will try to entice John Terry to Turkey with a two-year deal worth £10m.

Galatasaray have reportedly lined up a two-year deal worth £10m for Chelsea captain John Terry.

The 33-year-old's contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season, although the Blues are expected to offer him a one-year extension.

According to The Mirror, the Turkish club, who are now allowed to discuss terms with the former England international, will table an offer of £100,000 a week, which will be tax free.

However, the same source reports that Terry will likely choose to stay with the West London club.

The centre-back came through the youth ranks with Chelsea, making his debut as a substitute in a League Cup tie with Aston Villa in October 1998.

Since then, he has helped them win three Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.
