Leeds United will name a suite in the East Stand in memory of former player Gary Speed.

Leeds United will name a new East Stand suite in memory of Gary Speed following the Wales manager's death at the weekend.

The 42-year-old, who is thought to have committed suicide at his home in Cheshire on Sunday, spent eight years at the Championship side during his playing career.

In tribute to the former midfielder, club chairman Ken Bates has revealed that Leeds will rename a hospitality suite, located on Level 3 within the East Stand, the Gary Speed Suite.

Meanwhile, Premier League side Newcastle United, who Speed also played for, have made a number of arrangements to celebrate the life and career of the former player.
