Sergio Ramos ruled out for Real Madrid against Liverpool

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is to miss Wednesday's Champions League clash with Liverpool at Anfield due to a calf problem.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Liverpool.

The Spanish international, 28, has recently been suffering with a calf injury and will not be risked by manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Ramos has joined Gareth Bale in not travelling to England with the rest of the Madrid squad ahead of the match at Anfield.

Defending champions Madrid confirmed on Monday that Bale would not be involved due to a hip problem.
