Team News: Toure starts for Manchester City against Sheffield Wednesday

Yaya Toure captains a rotated Man City side which includes Frank Lampard, Dedryck Boyata and James Milner in their FA Cup third-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday.

Yaya Toure will make his final Manchester City appearance before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations in their FA Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Ivorian captains a City side showing six changes from their 3-2 win over Sunderland for their second cup meeting with the Championship side this term.

Frank Lampard, who scored twice in a 7-0 Capital One Cup victory in September, and Dedryck Boyata are among those given starts, while Willy Caballero remains in goal as Joe Hart and David Silva are rested.

Bacary Sagna, Aleksander Kolarov, James Milner and Fernando are recalled, with Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Fernandinho and Martin Demichelis left out as Manuel Pellegrini rotates his squad.

Wednesday make four changes for their third-round visit to the Etihad Stadium. Experienced goalkeeper Chris Kirkland replaces Kieren Westwood, while Stevie May, Claude Dielna and Kieran Lee also come in.
