Manchester United and Real Madrid have reportedly been given hope in their pursuit of Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.
Last week, it was claimed that Bayern had made 'significant progress' in their attempts to sign Davies to a new contract, with discussions between the two parties thought to now be at an advanced stage.
However, according to German journalist Christian Falk, Davies's agent Nick Househ has been left 'angry' by Bayern's behaviour during the negotiations, with a planned trip to Munich now being cancelled.
Falk claims that discussions took place 'via video', and Bayern's director of sport Max Eberl was not involved, which is said to have surprised Davies's camp due to the importance of the deal.
The left-back's agent is now believed to be planning to meet with representatives from both Man United and Real Madrid in January to discuss the possibility of moving to one of the two clubs at the end of the campaign.

Davies' agent 'angered' by Bayern conduct in contract talks
Davies' future has been continually left open by Househ, who recently played down suggestions that a deal with Real Madrid was close, claiming that "many options" were on the table.
"Done deal with Real Madrid? This is not true," Huoseh told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in the middle of last month. "Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club. New deal at FC Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect."
Barcelona are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old's situation, with the Catalan giants huge admirers.
Davies has again been a vital player for Bayern during the 2024-25 campaign, making 19 appearances in all competitions, contributing three assists in the process.
The Canadian has been with the Munich giants since January 2019, making 214 appearances, scoring 11 goals and registering 34 assists, winning five Bundesliga titles, two German Cups and the Champions League.

Romano issues update on Davies' contract situation
Romano also issued an update on his official YouTube channel, claiming that the defender has "still not decided on anything".
"There are reports that Alphonso is extending the contract with Bayern but my information is that he is still not decided on anything. The situation remains absolutely open for him. My understanding also is that he is not signing anything until Christmas. The idea is to consider all the possibilities," said the transfer expert.
"Bayern are still there, pushing to extend the contract. There is Real Madrid, interested for a long time and there's also Manchester United looking for a left-back. Alphonso Davies, in case he decides to leave Bayern, could be an attractive prospect for the club."
As it stands, Davies will be able to enter into discussions with foreign clubs over a pre-contract at the start of January, with Bayern therefore in a race against the clock to avoid the possibility of losing him on a free transfer.
