Manchester United must sell before they can buy more players after Jadon Sancho's move from Borussia Dortmund goes through, according to a report.

Manchester United will have to offload players before they can conduct further transfer business following the arrival of Jadon Sancho, according to a report.

The protracted saga surrounding Sancho's possible move to Old Trafford could finally be nearing an end, as the Red Devils are supposedly close to agreeing an £80m deal for the Borussia Dortmund attacker.

United supposedly want to add a new centre-back and central midfielder to their ranks as well this summer, but their war chest will take a hit should a big-money move for Sancho go through.

According to The Telegraph, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must do away with some unwanted names first and foremost, with Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot potentially garnering reasonable sums of money given their successful loan spells at West Ham United and AC Milan respectively.

A recent report also claimed that Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial and Andreas Pereira could all find themselves on the chopping block as well, with the former being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

Solskjaer is thought to be keeping an eye on Rennes starlet Eduardo Camavinga for his midfield project, while Raphael Varane and Pau Torres are both understood to be the club's leading centre-back targets.
