Manchester United are reportedly planning a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to swoop for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old has been in talks with the Ligue 1 champions over an extension to his current deal - due to expire in 2018 - for several months but he is reportedly unsure if he wants to remain in the French capital.

According to The Express, that has alerted United manager Jose Mourinho, who is preparing to make a bid at the end of the season.

Mourinho views Cavani as a long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose one-year deal with the Red Devils comes to an end in May.

League leaders Chelsea are also said to be monitoring Cavani's situation.
