RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner - who has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United - rules out the prospect of leaving the club this summer.

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has rubbished rumours that he could be moving to Liverpool or Manchester United this summer.

Werner has netted 17 times in 35 appearances for Leipzig this campaign, having also scored 21 goals in 33 outings last season.

The 22-year-old's form has led to speculation linking him with a big-money move to the Premier League, but he has ruled out the possibility of leaving the Bundesliga outfit this summer.

"Next year, definitely, I will stay in Leipzig," Werner told the club's official website after a 0-0 draw against Stuttgart this weekend.

The Confederations Cup Golden Boot winner, who has four years left on his Leipzig contract, is expected to lead the Germany attack during this summer's World Cup in Russia.
