Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has reportedly emerged as Real Madrid's number one target for the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United during the summer, but the Italian giants were able to keep hold of the Chile international.
While some reports have claimed that United will continue their pursuit of Vidal in the winter, with a possible Juan Mata swap deal in mind, it is believed that Madrid have made their interest known.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich has opened discussions with the Spanish club regarding a January switch.
Vidal's future in Turin has come into question after he got involved in an altercation during a night out earlier this month.
