Saturday's Primeira Liga predictions including Sporting Lisbon vs. Santa Clara

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Primeira Liga fixtures, including Sporting Lisbon vs. Santa Clara.

Rio Ave vs. Moreirense (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Both looking to make it three wins from three, Rio Ave and Moreirense go head to head at the Estadio dos Arcos in round 12 of the Primeira Liga on Saturday.

The Vilacondenses head into the weekend as one of just five sides yet to lose a home game in the league this season, having picked up two wins and three draws from their five matches, and will look to extend this fine streak.

We say: Rio Ave 1-1 Moreirense

Fresh off the back of reaching the fifth round of the Taca de Portugal, Rio Ave and Moreirense head into this with high spirits and will be looking to keep the juggernaut rolling. However, both sides are evenly matched on paper and we predict they will cancel out each other's efforts.

Nacional vs. Boavista (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Two sides separated by just one point in the bottom end of the Primeira Liga standings lock horns as Nacional play host to Boavista at the Estadio da Madeira on Saturday.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams since February 2021, when the Alvinegros secured a 2-1 victory at the Estadio do Bessa courtesy of a first-half own goal from Nuno Santos.

We say: Nacional 1-1 Boavista

It has been a difficult start to the campaign for Nacional and Boavista, who find themselves scrambling for points at the wrong end of the table after 11 rounds of matches.

Boavista's form on the road has been nothing to write home about this year and we see them struggling at the Estadio da Madeira once again.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Santa Clara (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Sporting Lisbon will be looking to bounce back from their midweek Champions League disappointment when they welcome Santa Clara to Estadio Jose Alvalade in Saturday's gameweek 12 Primeira Liga encounter.

Joao Pereira's men, thrashed 5-1 by Arsenal on home soil in Europe, seek to continue their unblemished league start against their fourth-placed opponents.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 3-0 Santa Clara

Despite their hammering at the hands of Arsenal, Sporting should return to winning ways in Saturday's Liga action against Santa Clara to banish the memories of that loss and extend their winning top-flight streak in Lisbon.
