Mauricio Pochettino: 'Tottenham Hotspur could make three new signings'

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says that the club could sign as many as three new players before the end of the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that he does not wish to comment on rumours as the club continue to be linked with Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.

It has been claimed that Pochettino wants to add the French midfielder to his first-team squad at White Hart Lane but while refusing to comment on specific players, the Argentine has suggested that he would like to make up to three more signings.

The 44-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I don't like to speak about rumours. There are many, many rumours in this period for different clubs, not only for us.

"We try [to bring more players in]. We hope to sign one, two or three players - or maybe no-one. It depends on many things that will happen. We will try to find some players to sign."

Spurs have made just the two new signings this summer, with Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen the only arrivals in North London.
