Matt Taylor happy with West Ham United achievements

West Ham United midfielder Matt Taylor insists that the club is happy to avoid relegation from the Premier League last season.

West Ham United midfielder Matt Taylor has insisted that the club achieved its goals last season.

The Hammers finished the campaign in 10th place in the Premier League table, having gained promotion from the Championship the previous summer.

"I think achievement is a big word for us," Taylor told the club's official website. "We've definitely met our goals this season in terms of staying up. We finished in the top ten, which is what we wanted to do."

Taylor scored one goal in 32 games for West Ham last season.
