Wolfsburg to launch £33m bid for Everton's Romelu Lukaku?

Wolfsburg are prepared to launch a £33m bid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.

Wolfsburg are reportedly prepared to offer Everton £33m for striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian international moved to Goodison Park from Chelsea last summer, with the Toffees paying a club-record fee of £28m to sign the forward.

German side Wolfsburg are said to be preparing to step up their interest in the 21-year-old as they close in on securing a Champions League place for next season.

Lukaku will become a priority target once Wolfsburg, who are currently second in the Bundesliga, confirm their return to Europe's premier club competition, according to The Mirror.

The report adds that it will take at least £33m for them to stand any chance of signing him.

Lukaku has scored 17 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees this season.
