Nuno Espirito Santo refuses to single out Ruben Neves for special praise

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo refuses to single out 21-year-old Ruben Neves for special praise following his side's 2-2 draw with Everton.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has refused to single out Ruben Neves for special praise following his side's 2-2 draw with Everton at Molineux this evening.

The 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder made light work of the step up from the Championship on his first Premier League appearance, scoring one and assisting another as Wolves shared the spoils against the 10-man Toffees.

Nuno acknowledged that Neves is an exciting prospect, but was eager to highlight the performance of the whole team rather than reserving plaudits for individual players.

"Neves, he is very young, just 21. So he has a lot of progression. He has played at high levels and the talent is there but I am not one to praise an individual," he told reporters at his post-match press conference.

"It is about the team for me and we came back really well with all the players playing in the style and the movement that we should be doing.

"We are in a process of developing and growing as a team and a group and there are positive things to take into the next game, for sure."

Neves's performance saw him become the first Portuguese player to both score and assist a goal in a Premier League game since Nani in April 2012.
