Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter pays Dean Mumm tribute

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter hails captain Dean Mumm ahead of his return to Australia.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has paid tribute to outgoing captain Dean Mumm ahead of his return to Australia.

The 31-year-old lock, who has spent the past three years at Sandy Park, is returning to New South Wales Waratahs.

Mumm guided Exeter to their first major piece of silverware last season in the form of the LV= Cup.

"I'm delighted personally that I've got to know a man of his quality," Baxter told BBC Sport. "I can't speak highly enough of Dean. I hope we stay in touch and I wish him all the best for the future both in rugby and personally."

Exeter narrowly missed out on a place in the Aviva Premiership playoffs on a dramatic final day of the season.
