Liverpool are reportedly unconcerned by reports linking Mohamed Salah with a move to the Saudi Pro League, with the Reds looking to retain the services of the winger.

Liverpool have reportedly not been impacted by rumours surrounding a potential move for Mohamed Salah to Saudi Arabia.

The 32-year-old is enjoying a stellar campaign so far during 2024-25, the first since the departure of legendary boss Jurgen Klopp.

Following Arne Slot's arrival at Anfield, Salah has seen his goal involvements increase, netting four goals and providing four assists during his first six Premier League matches of the term.

The Egyptian king was on hand once again to provide an important moment for the Reds on Saturday afternoon, scoring a penalty as they overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Black Country.

Since making the high-profile switch from Italian giants Roma to Liverpool during the summer of 2017, Salah has made 357 appearances for the Reds, scoring 216 goals.

Liverpool 'unconcerned' by Salah exit talk

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are unconcerned by recent reports linking Salah with a eye-catching move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the season.

Former Aston Villa and England forward Gabby Agbonlahor recently stated that the 32-year-old had already agreed a contract with a team in the Saudi Pro League.

The ex-striker claims that the deal for Salah would make him the face of the Middle Eastern league, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

Despite this, it is believed that Liverpool are confident of being able to retain the services of the winger past the conclusion of the season.

The Reds' chief decision makers are supposedly planning to commence contract talks with Salah in the near future, before the January transfer window opens.

Who could be Salah's replacement?

With less than a year left on his current deal at Anfield, Salah is free to discuss pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs in January.

Although the current feeling is that the Reds could retain the services of the attacker, the Merseyside club are reportedly assessing other options.

It has been reported that the Reds are eyeing up a 2025 swoop for Borussia Dortmund and Germany star Karim Adeyemi as a potential Salah replacement.

The 22-year-old helped the German giants to reach the Champions League final last season and has started this term brightly, scoring two goals in five top-flight contests.
