Danny Welbeck impressed by Olivier Giroud form

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck hails Olivier Giroud's form in front of goal during 2015.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has heaped praise on Olivier Giroud for his performances since the turn of the year.

The Frenchman took his tally to 11 goals for 2015 on Saturday by scoring twice during the Gunners' 2-1 win at Newcastle United.

Welbeck believes that Giroud is being rewarded for all of the hard work that he is putting in on the pitch.

"He's winning points for the team and I think collectively everyone has been very impressed with the way he's been playing in 2015," the England international told Arsenal's official website.

"He's big and strong, and if defenders get tight to him, he can hold the ball up and bring others into play. I think we utilise that strength of his very well."

Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign on April 4 when they welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium.
