Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is determined to fight for his place at Camp Nou amid speculation regarding his future, according to a report.

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is reportedly keen to stay on at Camp Nou amid speculation regarding his future.

The France international has chalked up just 11 appearances in La Liga this season, and recent reports have suggested that the Catalan giants are willing to part ways with Umtiti this summer.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both been credited with an interest in the centre-back, but Umtiti is supposedly determined to fight for his place in Quique Setien's side.

According to Sport, Umtiti has no intention of leaving La Blaugrana, and has been baffled by repeated suggestions that the La Liga outfit are hoping to ship him out in the summer.

The report also states that any transfer dealings are likely to be disrupted as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, with Umtiti's contract at Barcelona not set to expire until 2023.

The former Lyon man has registered two goals in 114 appearances for Barca since his arrival in 2016.
