Saturday's Primeira Liga predictions including Benfica vs. Vitoria de Guimaraes

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Primeira Liga fixtures, including Benfica vs. Vitoria de Guimaraes.

Gil Vicente vs. Nacional (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Two sides separated by just one point in the bottom half of the Portuguese Primeira Liga table go head-to-head this weekend as Gil Vicente play host to Nacional on Saturday.

The Alvinegros have failed to win their last six visits to the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos, losing four and picking up two draws since a 2-1 victory in March 2014, and will head into the weekend looking to end this dry spell.

We say: Gil Vicente 2-1 Nacional

With just one point separating Gil Vicente and Nacional in the bottom half of the table, we expect both sides to go all out at the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos as they look to get one over the other. Margarido's men have struggled to get going on the road and we fancy the Gilistas to come away with the desired result.

Santa Clara vs. Rio Ave (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Santa Clara and Rio Ave both set out in search of a fourth win on the bounce across all competitions when they lock horns at the Estadio de Sao Miguel on Saturday.

This will be the first league meeting between the two teams since March 2023, when the Vilacondenses picked up a 2-0 victory courtesy of a second-half own goal from Italo and Leonardo Ruiz's 73rd-minute effort.

We say: Santa Clara 2-1 Rio Ave

Santa Clara and Rio Ave have put together a fine run of results in recent weeks and we anticipate a thrilling matchup at the Estadio de Sao Miguel this weekend. However, Matos's side have been near impenetrable at home this season and we are tipping them to pick up a sixth consecutive victory in front of their supporters.

Benfica vs. Guimaraes (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Seeking to pick up an eighth consecutive Primeira Liga victory, Benfica go head-to-head with Vitoria de Guimaraes at the Estadio da Luz on Saturday.

The objective for Os Vimaranenses will be to snap their run of 20 consecutive games without a win against the home side and pick up their first victory in five away matches since late October.

We say: Benfica 3-1 Vitoria de Guimaraes

Benfica are currently firing on all cylinders and will be backing themselves against a Guimaraes side who have failed to win any of the last 20 encounters between the two teams in over 16 years.

While Borges's men will look to continue from where they dropped off against Gil Vicente last time out, they are without a win in their most recent four away matches and we see them struggling at the Estadio da Luz once again.

Famalicao vs. Porto (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Seeking to move level on points with Sporting Lisbon at the top of the Portuguese Primeira Liga standings, Porto take on Famalicao at the Estadio Municipal de Famalicao on Saturday.

Having failed to win any of the last 10 meetings between the two teams, the Vila Nova will head into the weekend looking to get one over the visitors and end their run of five back-to-back home games without a win in all competitions.

We say: Famalicao 0-2 Porto

Buoyed by their victory over Casa Pia, Porto will head into the weekend with renewed confidence as they look to move level on points with Sporting Lisbon at the top of the table.

While we expect Famalicao to put up a fight, Bruno's men boast the firepower needed to get the job done and we are backing them to extend their dominance in their fixture.
