David Moyes has 'seven-man summer shortlist'

David Moyes reportedly identifies seven possible targets to add to his Manchester United squad after again promising a busy transfer window at the end of the season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has reportedly identified seven possible targets after promising to embark on a summer spending spree.

The under-pressure Scotsman hinted again yesterday, after the 4-1 win over Aston Villa, that he anticipates a busy transfer window at the end of the season.

According to The Express, plans are already being set in motion and Moyes has recognised Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala as the man to fill the void that will be left by departing skipper Nemanja Vidic.

After missing out on Everton's Leighton Baines, Moyes wants to sign £30m-rated England international Luke Shaw from Southampton, but will face competition from Chelsea for his signature.

The former Toffees boss is also keen to add at least two midfielders to his squad, with Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho, former United youngster Paul Pogba and his Juventus teammate Arturo Vidal on his radar.

Moyes also retains an interest in Toni Kroos of Bayern Munich and Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund, but whether these players would sacrifice Champions League football to move to Old Trafford is unclear.
