Newcastle United 'not interested in January sales'

A report claims that Newcastle United are not prepared to sell any of their first-team players in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United will reportedly reject any bids that arrive for their first-team players in the January transfer window.

It is understood that centre-back Jamaal Lascelles and centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic are among those on the wish-list of a number of clubs ahead of the winter window.

However, according to the Northern Echo, Newcastle have "no intention" of letting any members of their first-team squad depart in January as they bid to make it out of the Championship at the first time of asking.

Rafael Benitez's side have collected 37 points from their 16 Championship fixtures this season, with that total leaving them top of England's second tier - three points ahead of second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
