Unai Emery: "We were superior" to Valencia

Sevilla boss Unai Emery says that his team were "superior" to Valencia during their La Liga clash at the Estadio Ramon on Sunday, which ended in a 1-0 home win.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has praised his team for their performance in Sunday's 1-0 win over Valencia at the Estadio Ramon.

Sergio Escudero scored the only goal of the match early in the second period as the hosts returned to winning ways in La Liga.

Emery has paid tribute to his side's performance at both ends of the field and claimed that they were "superior at all times".

"We were superior at all times in the match. We feel more confident at home, and in every game we have to regain credibility. We needed defensive security, while retaining our attacking capabilities, and we succeeded," Emery told reporters.

The result led to Valencia boss Nuno leaving his position at the Mestalla.
