Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen to push through a deal for Lazio defender Wallace.
The West Midlands outfit are currently preparing for the Europa League qualifying rounds, but Nuno Espirito Santo is yet to make a first-team addition ahead of the new campaign.
The Portuguese has acknowledged that Wolves must sign several new players, having already allowed Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro to link up with Leeds United and Fulham respectively.
According to Il Messaggero, the Premier League outfit are attempting to wrap up the transfer of Wallace, who is allegedly free to leave Stadio Olimpico.
The 24-year-old was only used on 16 occasions in Serie A last season, although the centre-back does have recent experience of playing in a back three.
Wolves are said to be keen on a loan deal with an option to buy next summer.
