Scottish League One roundup: Forfar Athletic go top after victory over Brechin

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action in Scottish League One.

Forfar Athletic have moved to the top of the Scottish League One table after a 2-0 victory over Brechin City.

Derek Young and Omar Kader found the net to lead the Loons to victory at Glebe Park.

Ayr United moved into second with a 2-0 win over title challengers Dunfermline Athletic. Alan Forrest, younger brother of Scotland international James, opened the scoring before Jordan Preston added the second on the hour mark.

Ten-man Cowdenbeath shared the points with Peterhead after a late Greig Spence equaliser brought the score to 2-2.

Elsewhere, Airdrieonians maintained their spot in the playoff places with a 3-1 victory over Albion Rovers, and Stenhousemuir moved up to sixth in the table with a 1-0 victory over Stranraer.
