Arsenal and England winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists that he wants to earn 100 international caps during his career.

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has insisted that he has his sights set on 100 caps for his country.

The 19-year-old has seven caps for the Three Lions, and has been picked in Roy Hodgson's squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.

He told the Daily Star that he hopes to emulate the senior players in the England squad with a sustained run in the side.

Oxlade-Chamberlain said: "I want to get as many caps as I can for England, score as many goals as I can, win as many things as I can with England and Arsenal.

"Everyone would like to get to 100 caps, but that's a massive target. If I can get close to that I will be absolutely delighted. I guess I could say 100 and I would be more than satisfied. I've got to do well on and off the pitch to get there, though.

"The European Championships were a massive experience for me, I want to make sure I work hard enough to keep getting in those England squads."

Oxlade-Chamberlain's progress has been a feature of Hodgson's early reign as Three Lions coach, with the youngster a surprise call-up for Euro 2012 after only making his England debut against Norway in May.
