Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino: "I don't care about Arsenal"

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino insists that he does not care about finishing above Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he is not thinking about whether or not his team will finish above North London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Spurs are currently in second place, two points above the Gunners with one game left to play.

After Pochettino's side fell out of the title race in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, they suffered a 2-1 defeat to the manager's previous club Southampton.

Tottenham have not finished above Arsenal in the league since 1995, but they will if they gain a point against relegation battlers Newcastle United this weekend.

"I think that I don't care about Arsenal," Sky Sports News quotes Pochettino as saying. "I want to win the league, I want to be on top but Arsenal I do not care about.

"Sure I want to be above them, but this I think is normal. But to try to improve, to try and be bigger, we need to concentrate on us and not look what is happening with our neighbours."

Tottenham have scored seven more league goals than Arsenal this season.
