Don't Tel Tottenham: Attacker 'still interested' in joining Premier League rivals

On-loan Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mathys Tel reportedly still harbours aspirations of joining Manchester United from Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old was the subject of an intense transfer battle between Spurs and Man United during the last knocking of the January transfer window, but negotiations ultimately broke down with the Red Devils.
Man United reportedly ended their interest in signing Tel when Bayern requested a £5m loan fee, allowing Tottenham to swoop in and sign the 19-year-old on loan with an option to buy.
Ange Postecoglou's side pulled off a marquee move for Tel despite claims that he turned the club down at first - which Postecoglou has stressed was not the case - and the Lilywhites also have the option to make his stay permanent for a reported £45m.
Chelsea, Liverpool on 18-year-old scouting mission as rivals 'cool interest'

Chelsea and Liverpool have both deployed scouts to keep tabs on the progress of Ajax's rising star Jorrel Hato, according to a report.
The 18-year-old was believed to have been the subject of interest from Arsenal last year, as the Gunners sought to repeat their Jurrien Timber transfer trick from the summer 2023 window.
However, Hato elected to sign a long-term contract extension with Ajax last March, and he has gone from strength to strength in his homeland since penning fresh terms until the end of 2027-28 season.
The 2006-born sensation boasts three goals and five assists from 33 appearances across all competitions in the 2024-25 season, starting 17 Eredivisie matches and seven games in the Europa League.
"Not touching Ryan Gravenberch's level": Has Reds' transfer approach paid off?
![Liverpool have little need to reinforce their squad given the form of players such as Ryan Gravenberch Liverpool have little need to reinforce their squad given the form of players such as Ryan Gravenberch](https://sm.imgix.net/25/06/ryan-gravenberch-and-david-lynch.png?w=640&h=480&auto=compress,format&fit=clip)
Liverpool's lack of activity in the January transfer market has proven to be the correct strategy as the majority of the current squad have shown they are better than potential replacements, Reds expert David Lynch has argued.
The winter window closed on Monday, and while Manchester City were the highest spenders in the division having dished out around £180m in transfer fees, the Merseysiders did not make a single signing.
However, Liverpool advanced to the final of the EFL Cup by defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 at Anfield on Thursday, showcasing the strength of the team already at Arne Slot's disposal.
Lynch was keen to emphasise that the lack of expenditure in January was largely driven by the exceptional form of players like Ryan Gravenberch, telling Sports Mole: "There's always speculation [that a lack of transfer activity] is driven by the owners and them not wanting to spend, but I can tell you very much that it's been driven by the football staff. The manager doesn't feel like he needs anything.
