Josep Maria Bartomeu gives Luis Enrique full backing

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is not under pressure, according to the club's president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has strongly denied suggestions that the club's head coach Luis Enrique is under pressure.

The Catalan outfit have lost their last two games in La Liga, with those defeats dropping Enrique's side into fourth spot in the table.

However, Bartomeu has insisted that Enrique has the full backing of the club's board.

"There is no alarm and the results will come, but we must have patience because there were a lot of changes in the summer and that's something you must take into consideration," Bartomeu told TV3.

"Our confidence in Luis Enrique is total and these defeats will be quickly forgotten. Luis has the ability to transmit his fighting spirit and strength to the players.

"We have a very talented squad and there has only been a quarter of the season gone. We're not worried, we're excited."

Barcelona travel to Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday.
