Luis Enrique hints at January signings

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says that the club's "intention is to improve the squad" when questioned on the upcoming January transfer window.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has hinted that his club will be active in the upcoming January transfer window.

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will both be available for selection from January 1, having joined in the summer when the Spanish giants were under their transfer embargo.

As it stands, that ban is still in place, but the La Liga leaders will be free to sign new players after the winter break in Spain.

Despite the imminent availability of Turan and Vidal, Enrique has revealed that his club are always in the market for new players.

"Whenever a transfer window approaches the intention is to improve the squad," Enrique told reporters.

Barcelona will enter this week's Champions League clash with Roma off the back of a 4-0 win over Real Madrid in El Clasico at the weekend.
