Liverpool reportedly never made an offer for Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder, according to Inter Milan sporting director Marco Branca.
The 28-year-old, who signed for Turkish outfit Galatasaray last week, was linked with a switch to Merseyside but it is believed that the Premier League outfit never made an approach to the Serie A side.
Branca claimed that he had not received any contact from the Reds regarding Sneijder but believes that Liverpool spoke to the midfielder directly, according to BBC Sport journalist Simon Austin.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are thought to have agreed a fee with Inter for playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
