Cruzeiro's vice-president Marcio Rodrigues has announced that Lucas Silva's move to Real Madrid is a done deal.
The Brazilian youngster has accepted an offer from the European champions and is on the verge of being unveiled as their latest capture.
"Lucas Silva's transfer deal is official and a statement will be made on Thursday," Rodrigues told ESPN. "The player has decided it's time for him to leave.
"We won't have any problem finding a replacement. Various reserve-team players are ready to step up."
Asier Illarramendi is said to be surplus to requirements at Real following the arrival of Silva.
