Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov: 'Playoff dream still alive'

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov believes that his side can still reach the League One playoffs despite seeing their hopes suffer a setback with a 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United.

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov has insisted that his side can still reach the League One playoffs despite losing to Sheffield United.

Rovers are 10 points adrift of the top six with six games left to play following their 3-2 reverse at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

However, Dickov saw enough in his team's performance against the Blades to give him encouragement for the remainder of the season.

"You just don't know in this league," he told Sky Sports News. "If we perform like we did at Bramall Lane for the rest of the season, which we have to, then we are still in there with an outside chance but it is going to be difficult."

Donny continue their promotion bid on Saturday when they host seventh-placed Rochdale.
