Man City injury news and return dates before Ipswich clash: Rodri, Savinho latest

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City will look to continue their positive start to the campaign when they host Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

On the back of their success in the Community Shield against Manchester United, City opened the defence of their top-flight crown with a 2-0 victory at Chelsea.

Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic struck in either half at Stamford Bridge to lay down a marker to their rivals before the upcoming international break.

Kieran McKenna's Ipswich are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium this weekend having marked their return to the division with a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Ahead of Man City's first home fixture of the season, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news.

Possible return date: Unknown

Oscar Bobb, who was a standout performer for Man City in pre-season, is facing three to four months on the sidelines after he sustained a fracture to a bone in his leg during a non-contact situation in training.

Rodri

Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Having been involved in minimal training sessions ahead of the Chelsea game, Rodri was left out by Guardiola. However, there is every expectation that the Euro 2024 winner will be selected in the squad for this contest, albeit likely among the replacements.

Savinho
