Arsene Wenger: 'Too early for Arsenal title talk'

Arsene Wenger says it is "too early" to talk about Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that it is too soon to be talking about his side's chances of winning the Premier League title.

The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win over Newcastle United that took them back to the top of the table, but Wenger remains reluctant to discuss what the victory means to their hopes of success.

"Look we believe in ourselves and we are determined to give our best absolutely and to turn back on this season at the end and think we have given our best," he told the club's official website.

"I hope it will be enough of course but it's a long way to go - it's too early to say that."

Arsenal host Cardiff City in the Premier League on New Year's Day.
