Morten Gamst Pedersen: 'I've had offers to leave Blackburn Rovers'

Morten Gamst Pedersen turns down offers to leave Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Perdesen has revealed that he has turned down a number of offers to leave the club in last few years.

The Norwegian international joined Rovers in 2004 from Tromso and despite admitting that he has been tempted to leave in the past, Pedersen has revealed that he is proud to represent the club.

"I have had several offers in the past few years," Pedersen told goal.com. "Especially under Mark Hughes when I had that one stellar season [2005/2006].

"I was obviously tempted [to leave] but we were playing in Europe and I spoke to the manager and signed a new contract in the end.

"I'm proud to be at the club for so long and I have always felt the club is on the right track.

"Usually these days, you don't see players staying at clubs for so long."

Pedersen, 29, has made 68 appearances for Norway since his debut in 2004.
