Former Everton winger Femi Orenuga will remain at Carlisle United for the next week as he attempts to win a contract with the League One club.

Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott has admitted that he is yet to decide whether to offer former Everton youngster Femi Orenuga a contract.

The 19-year-old, who departed the Toffees in the summer, has been training with the club for the past 10 days in an attempt to secure a deal.

"Femi is a really nice lad and he has come here determined to work hard and to improve his fitness," Abbott told the club's official website.

"Our schedule is really tight at the moment as we bounce from one game to another and ideally we would like to see him in a match environment.

"At the moment we are happy to have him here and he's happy to be here. That will continue as we go through another very busy week."

Carlisle are currently eighth in League One.
